I currently have a 150g tank and because I like having the best equipment I have been thinking of downsizing to a 90g rimless cube. Well the truth is I hate the idea of reducing my water volume but I also don't like how narrow my 150 is. Answer is obvious right? Go bigger! I was on craigs list and found a 250 that is 48x40x30 that is perfect. My question is do I really want to pursue this?

I'm really torn on this one and I know you guys can't make the decision for me. I was hoping someone on here had a similar decision to make and could give me some advice. I do recognize that going bigger cost more in equipment and that was one of the reasons for considering going smaller.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you ever had too much room in your tank? I never have.

You will never be satisfied with small. Everything bigger just looks so much better. More space for more things that grow.

We're all enablers here (many of us are long overdue for an intervention)...so you've come to the wrong place for any answer other than..."Go bigger!" :) When in doubt, the answer is always "UPGRADE!!" ...at least that's the way most of us operate. LOL

Thanks guys that's just what I needed.

I've already sent the email about the tank.

The 40 deep is what your really going to love... I am the same way as you and if you don't go with the larger tank you're always going to be thinking about it and never be satisfied... Do things once and get it over with… You will be happy you did in the end...also 30 tall won't be bad at all... Get a small stool to work with and it will be easy.

You are all going to get me thrown out of my house so I might as well get a tank I can live in.
