Much thanks to Victor, Felix, Cornbred, and Rnegret for your ideas on designing this beast. Closed Loop, steel stand. Still deciding what to do with sump, etc but lighting is going to be leds and halides for my chalice addiction. Will keep posting pics as we build. Tank was a tough to move into the house.

Tank Update

Hi all- put a hefty deposit down on the equipment today with Victor at Coral Kingdom. He is the main GC on this project and is a super cool dude if you don't know him.

First and foremost, My new live rock will be tonga slab. Ordered 200 lbs of it today. We are going to be building 4 seperate islands in the tank. Chalice and Monti island (I will be paying for RNegret and Cornbreads' kids college tuition- bad news living so close to them); scolymia island, softie island, and dangerous (because of chemistry issues), my sps island. The tank will be covered in my zoos and some other nice filler pieces. That is the dream as it is. We dug the electrical trench today and got it wired.

The equipment list is as follows:

Deltec Skimmer (450 Gallon capacity) (Don't have model numbers on hand but will update) Pro Cal Calcium Reactor
Nature Reef Denitrifier
Reefflo Pump (3700 GPH)
Reeflo Pump for Closed Loop (2500 GPH)
Phosphate Reactor
Carbon Reactor
Neptune Controller
2 Vortech MP 40 to supplement closed loop
