I'd have to tentatively agree with They.

Normally They are spouting a crock of a verifiable crap.

In this instance, I would say it has definitely gotten easier every time because now I'm pretty proficient at the process. I've got all the tools I'll need ahead of time, know the process In order and can time things decently well.

It's for sure a stressful endeavor, but not all unenjoyable. I think this is the 5th tank tear down I've done this year

By the time my mate from the lfs came around to set the twins up with me I already had my old 40 G custom low empty and outside, all contents in tubs and buckets, fast forward about 3 hours and he stepped back to admire his plumbing job, caught one of the tubs with the heal of his work boot and cracked it, fast forward 15 minutes and we have everything except a lot of water in the cube end, no water to hand as the main fill was planned for the following day.

i was breaking down a tank ,many yrs ago, middle of chicago winter, was standing on full buckets of water.
foot went thru lid ,and grabbed my leg ,completely soaked 40 miles from home at 10 degrees...;Facepalm
then we finished and loaded,cranked the heat in van,
was a good thing ...cuz it was my rt leg frozen solid ,made for a quick drive home...
