I want your tank lol

I was up till 230 doing the swap and 430 cleaning up the majority of the mess. And for some strange reason I woke up at 830. ;Bored;Wacky;Dead
I didn’t want the tank anymore but after seeing it this morning I am pleased.
And my boyfriend was super happy I cleaned up (so happy he gave me money!)

That's exactly how I felt the night of my tank swap - up all night, frustrated and exhausted -- Why did I do this, what a waste, I regret this. Next morning: soooo glad I did, all frustration gone

Not too long ago someone was showing off their fancy looking little vacuum mouth attachment (essentially) for cleaning out the sump detritus & running the water back through a sock. Help? I'm looking for one of these and I can't recall what it was called or where it was from....

Just read about that (vacuuming into a filter sock on the home page and thought that is a pretty nifty idea. I just took a rock out yesterday and have more sandbed to vacuum now. Was thinking about giving it a try today. I've got a 7" filter sock and hanger laying around.

I used to never vacuum my sandbed. I do now until I fill up a 5g bucket. You can use the fw gravel vacuums. The gunk that comes out is unreal! It's one reason I think my tank is turning around.

I would never vac my sand as it should be a living evolving thing, just my opinion.
