I love running carbon, definitely a good thing to have!Carbon takes out toxins and impurities from the water, such as those produced by leather corals for example.
It's so easy just to put a half cup in a mesh bag and throw it in.

Ok! I’ll add some right now! (My HOB is running out of room... course sponge, floss, course media, fine sponge, more floss.... ._.)Carbon takes out toxins and impurities from the water, such as those produced by leather corals for example.

How much do you typically find you need to top off in a week? I ran my pico without an ato for months. It has one now, and I'm glad, but you can make it without, even with sensitive corals if your evaporation isn't too bad.Guys, do you REALLY think evaporation would be that bad in just a week?
You can use Saran Wrap if you really feel like it Evaps a lot or just put a little extra water in before you go , just remember to leave room for oxygen exchangeGuys, do you REALLY think evaporation would be that bad in just a week?
We have no way of knowing this on your tank. You have the only information. My dt is losing 3g a day. You've had the tank running, how much are you evaporating in a week? Will the ac in the house stay on while you are away?Guys, do you REALLY think evaporation would be that bad in just a week?

I only loose like, MAYBE 1 inch of water per week. (But that’s IF it’s really hot outside. Normally it’s less than that)We have no way of knowing this on your tank. You have the only information. Yes, it will. Will the ac in the house stay on while you are away?
Do you top off throughout the week or all at once?I only loose like, MAYBE 1 inch of water per week. (But that’s IF it’s really hot outside. Normally it’s less than that)
In that case, I'd just fill it to the Brim and go. It's soon enough that you're not going to be able to order anything to fix the problem you've been staring down for a few days already.I only loose like, MAYBE 1 inch of water per week. Yes, it will.

Mine is in the mail....I believe there already is one
A couple people already got theirs and the link floats around here somewhere hahah
The air conditioner removes humidity in the air. If it's hot and humid outside the ac will be pulling more moisture out of the air meaning more evap...If the AC is on what does it matter what the outside temp is? Just wondering.

Working on this project right nowI want to get 3 different Monti Caps, place them on a ledge in my tank about 2" from each other and see what happens.
That is all, carry on.
