So I wanted to add ozone to my tank, I had an ORP probe but it arrived a bit dry so I am worried if its accurate.

I placed it in tank and its reading 129 for the past day. I put a small window for it to operate based on ORP probe so I put it for 150-175

I will be posting more details about the setup shortly.

129 seems pretty low get some pinpoint orp/redox calibration fluid so you can be sure if your probe isn't accurate you could do big damage in your tank I have a ozotech ozonizer & love it the water is so clear the fish look like they are floating in air

Usually takes about a week for the orp probe to give an accurate reading

I have an Apex so its a pita to calibrate :(

it requires a weird powder that makes it just as expensive to buy a new ORP probe.

how do you have yours running? right now I have it T-d into my ATB skimmer (ozone safe)

I agree 100 percent. Man ozone is nothing to fool with in your tank or even for your own health. Ozone can be a very usefull tool or very dangerous.

I also agree with VegasRick .. give it a few days before hooking up the ozone generator to your controller.

How long do you think that I should wait for the ORP to settle? just making sure that the whole 7 day thing is normal, etc. Not sure at what point I should consider it a bad probe.

Danke!

I noticed that each day the ORP drops for awhile and then raises back up.
