So, I am having some aggression troubles in my tank rn, I dont have a qt(setting up one rn)
I was gonna setup one right as I came home from sports, but I found my goby even more battered up, so, I had to resort to a measuring cup in tank. The only problem, so moving water in the little measuring cup, I am moving to a qt tomorrow afternoon
is the measuring cup fine or should I move him to a completely new, uncycled qt tank?

Depending on the volume of the new tank, just dropping some live rock from your current tank should be sufficient with such a small bioload… could keep a sponge filter in your current tanks sump for a few days to build up bacteria and that’ll help too.

Note if you plan on dosing medicines into the QT - look up what is or is not acceptable with live rock in the tank.. if it’s just a holding/recovery, should be fine just monitor parameters and keep water on hand for changes if necessary.
