My Reef Tank As A Game ???

So hear me out I’ve been doing some thinking on how to bring more people into the hobby due to the lack of people in my area actually having a reef tank so what if there’s a game where someone use an actual listing of all the different variant of corals/anemones known and color morphs, have vender sales, random auction, events like irl and have a seller option as well but integrate random incidents base on how you actually set up the tank not going to go into the fine details right now but how do you feel about how this idea could influence more people to get into the hobby

It would but at a little more accelerated grow rate to keep people entertain and the grow rates would be based on the lights and spectrum you use and some other elements but not fast enough to make it unreasonable so that way if the do migrate over to irl there not disappointed on the irl growth rates

If realistic enough and in existence it probably would have intimated me. leave out the part where you have to go work to finance the tank but also have to pay rent, mortgage, insurance, groceries, gas, maybe further into the game lawyer fees and child support..........


Honestly take reality out as much as you can, focus on the basics of reef keeping and highlight the cool fish, coral, scaping tanks and tone down hitchhikers, nuisance algae and tank crashes and that could be an interesting game.

Lol this isn't reef related but about 15 years ago my buddy and I got really into rc airplanes. After wasting 100's of dollars on crashed models we decided to invest in a flight sim to improve our ability. Anyway in the sim there was a feature if you hit f4 on the keyboard a part of the plane wold fall off or the motor would stall. We used to have a blast randomly sabotaging etch others flights. It did make us better rc pilots.
