My Reefing Room Begins...

Gonna probably end up selling the 36” dimmable ati 6 bulb with sbar actinics and the 3 puck maxspect razor... I have the 4’ 6 puck maxspect razor that Im gonna use over the 6’ tank... Also need to sell the icecap 36xl sump as well to free up some space... will be posting them up sometime this week... let me know if your interested. Also have a reefer xl525 tank that needs some tlc... the fromt glass is broken and I already bought a brand new piece of starphire glass for it... with howmuch this room is costing, im pretty sure I will never get around to it...

Today was a rough day... Had to put my baby Stella down... She was my partner in crime for many years... 13 years old... I will never forget my dear Stella... big loss today for our Family... Sad rainy Valentines day today...

Sorry for your loss man. It was just me and my dog long before I had a family of my own. He’ll be 12 this year and I don’t even want to think about what it would be like without him. My 17 month old daughter loves him like crazy.

Yeah... my 6 year old son did not do well hearing about the loss. I told him she was very old and tired and she took a nap. I felt terrible

Picked up a mimic tang and a tomini tang from @riptidecreatures last week... both are doing great... still having issues with detectable no3... cut fuge lights in half... if that doesnt work, im gonna have to start dosing nitrates... was looking into @greenleafaquariums kno3... @FishOfHex had a great video on using their product and I enjoyed it...

Just ordered some of that kno3 and a dispenser so I can try it out... hopefully it gets me where I need to get... never dosed kno3 so, new territory... Gonna have to start doing some reasearch... or Im just gonna have to add a few more fish... was thinking of springer damsels, pink streaked wrasse and a tanaka pygmy wrasse

I need to get a decent nitrate test kit. I usually have undetected levels but that’s with an API Kit. I have no idea what my system is running after I transferred everything to the shack, but I’d bet it’s pretty low considering my water volume more than tripled.

Ive used api, salifert, and red sea... all absolutely 0... only thing that shows up is po4... and it ranges from .03-.1 getting ready to test again her in a few minutes...

Little update:
Installed 4-20 amp circuits into the room today... have way more than enough power going to room now... did a 35 gallon water change with tropic marin pro salt for first time today... was using red sea, but the tropic marin pros alk is closer to what im aiming for with my carx setup now... everything went smooth... got an avast marine k1 kalk stirrer and also the davy jones 5 gallon locker on its way too... Will be nice to not have to empty skimmer every 3-4 days... havent decided if I wanna setup the stirrer for nights on frag system or just use it on my reefer instead of dosing... will have to figure that out... still working 7 days a week 12 hour shifts... have today and tomorrow off, which is crazy... so im trying to catch up on stuff... everything is going well...

WE HAVE POWER!!! Nice to have efficient power to that room now... also ran 1/2” rubber tubing from outside to my bubble magus curve d9 skimmer... hoping that will help just a little with the ph
