Sorry to intrude 85 pages in, but I was sent to see your sump and there's well... 85 pages to sort through. Have any recent photos to hit me with while I start sorting? I'm replacing my tank soon and determined to not live amongst a rat nest this time around.

Nothing wrong with a rats nest, as long as you dont need to plug anything in or unplug something lol. The sump is always a work in progress for me. I tinker with it here and there as it does work now so I'm in no HUGE rush to Tidy anything up just yet...

As you can see I'm not done yet but will be eventually

Thank you, just take your time and plan things out you can buy power cables that are shorter and other things to clean up wires. Lots out there to dig into to make a nice clean look

The waves were actually my first crack at stenciling, not quite as crisp as I wanted but they still turned our pretty good. I purchased the 10 MIL stencils here...

Thank you! I'm battling a bit of algae at the moment so it's not in tip top shape, working on sourcing some cheato or other algae for my fuge right now.

Would.u go taller if u did it all over again? My waterbox I think is like 21" to top of glass. I was thinking peninsula tank I'd go 20. But might just keep 21 to match this one. Just way wider and longer

For my tank? No I probably would stay at 18" myself. But tank height is definately a personal thing and I won't suggest anything over anything else. Because what is best for me, certainly might not work for you. I always suggest building a frame of either pvc pipe or 2x2 wood in the same size as the tank you want made and seeing if it works.

I would go longer and wider though if I had the room to that is. Somewhere in the neigbourhood of 72x36x18
