My simple tank.

Today i sucked out the substrate, rinsed it in the water it came with (lots of Brown stuff coming out) and added a new light to achieve the 12000 kelvin look i like.

The tank is doing great but i am not happy with it. Its a collection from parts from previous tanks ive had. So next month i am looking for an aio system. I am not really a fan of stony corals i like my corals moving in the flow

Are those blue parazoanthus? I’ve only ever seen the yellow ones. Love the look of all the corals! Not enough people do softies nowadays

I also love the look and I like flowy coral as well. Since you are doing an AIO, have you considered adding ornamental macroalgae. They are flowing and some are flashy with color, (like red grape caulerpa- botrycladia). They also help control nutrients.

My tank is not an AIO but has similar coral but with macros.

No they are yellow. The light plus Phone camera make them look blackish just like the acropora frag, wich is reddish purple

Yes i have some caulerpa in the main tank. Small still. The kind with feather leaves and de grape one. I woul love a combi of softies with macro algae

I love the deep part of your sandbed. Lots of critters right?

Yes and it's even deeper toward the back on the deep sandbed side, probably 7". There are a lot of pods and worms that reside in a mature deep sandbed. I did just get a female redfin fairy wrasse and she is probably eating some of my beneficial critters but since I have a sump she will never get them all.
I love a deep sandbed in that once it's established, the only maintenance it needs is done by nassarius snails and maybe a cucumber and then there is the denitrification that aids in nutrient control.
