Stunning coral colours. Which model skimmer are you running. I'd be grateful for a shot of the cup showing how the skimmer is doing. Thanks. :)

Amazing additions.
Those alone are enough to make a tank super special.
Is the first one a Tort?

Which gel filter are you using.
I'm also curious about this. Also, what do you have your white balance set to. Your photos are beautiful but look a bit embellished either with filters or custom white balance. Please don't take that as a jab, I really appreciate the artistic aspect of photography, and have no problem with corals acting as our subjects for expression. Would love to try similar settings on my own reef!

Just went through this entire thread. Sweet tank! Not sure what your NO3 and PO4 levels are but you must have some NO3. I'm using Orphek LEDs and my NO3 is 0 and all my SPS are pale, even with 12 fish. Also I think my lights are turned up too high.

- I just went to a part time schedule on my skimmer as well. I noticed you downgraded from the coral box 700 to the 500. Did you feel the 700 was too powerful?
- do you know what kind of PAR you are getting around mid tank?
- how do you get all those tangs to behave together?
- what kind of flow do you have in the tank?

Look forward to more updates!

Nice. What swaps do you go to?
All the local florida ones, Rap orlando, Rap NY and MACNA

Its WWC's Vics Granulosa

Which gel filter are you using.
I dont use filters, they make everything look fakeeee

What are these orange zoas in the background?
Those are king midas, the camera doesnt register gold very well sometimes

There are some things that the camera doesnt register well when using a custom WB. I.e. oranges, reds so they look a little beefed up sometimes and I'm too lazy to edit them. When I use a WB shift its more accurate but again its all depending on how lazy I'm feeling that day. 99% if this is true to life under actinic. Obviously this issue arises when I shoot under 100% RB and UV. When I shoot under whites or a white/blue combo they're 100% true to life. You can ask anyone thats been to my house lol.

nice shots. tank looks really healthy
its starting to do its thing... finally

I've started dosing ME polyp extender... its working pretty well.

-Your light is probably too strong, I'm not really a big proponent of orphek...I've always noticed they fried the **** out of the corals in the tanks they light.... it could just be because I'm a radion girl :p

-I changed the skimmer because it was WAY too strong. Stuff was suffering a lot. A bunch of my zoas died, sps wasn't showing any PE. LPS was meh and receding... I wasnt happy
-No idea on par, I dont really measure it(too cheap test it lol)
-I feed the tangs A LOT(flake 3 times a day, pellets once, different types of algae, mysis, LRS, but they are also all different species. They don't really fight too much. The Desjardini is the boss of the tank. He runs it. He also happens to be big enough that the other tangs just press up against his sails or body and he cant reach them... its HILARIOUS lol. They all keep to different areas. The bellus holds her own as well. And the clownfish? LOL hes MEAN!
- I have 2) cp40's(***** overkill, I would be fine with just one but the SPS love it. My OP is getting thicker so hes happy) 2) RW8 1) RW4 and 1) rw 4 in the sump to make sure I dont get detritus build up and the return

I know it might have bean answered already, but are you running any carbon or GFO? If so, passively or through a reactor. Thank you :)

Hi, I run carbon for two days then remove it. No GFO right now but I use it occasionally

Are you still running the SPS AB+ program? I've been using it for a month now and the corals are responding great.
Yes still using it, I really like it!
