So... received these products thuesday
a34a1a288c69091fe2f208c78895f5ff.jpg

This is the third time i use flatworm stop. The product aim to "strengthens all kind of corals" and acros should be less palatable for the worms due to a better production of protective mucus.

The other product: coral booster is supposed to work in synergy with the first one. These are the only additives other than the three mains i'm currently dosing. I should be able to see if there is some improvements in the general health. So far my impressions with the 2 previous bottles(250 ml, 5 ml/day= 50 days of treatment per bottle, one on the summer of 2017 the second this summer) was that it produce a darker coloration, this was mainly visible on my red dragon wich turn from pale pink to a more dense tint. However, i still have aefw in my system and i'm aware that the company does not pretend that their precious blue bottles eradicate the worms, just that it give some help to the acros to keep the fight on.
We'll see!

The clowns: i had a couple for the last 5 years but the female was nipping my fingers each time i had to work in the tank. It was her that motivate me to buy rubber gloves that goes up to the shoulder to get some kind of protection...
She was so agresive she even went for the net(wich make it quite easy to grab her). So long story short, she turned bersek on my leopard wrasse and killed him by procuration (i brought him back to the lfs with too much water in a sealed bowl, lesson learned, fish dead) and after that i decided to change her for a baby nemo much more docile.
The previous male is now "ms nemo" and yes the hormones do work! The previously timid fish who almost never venture away from is home is now chasing food all over the tank. She might go for my fingers soon...
The new couple has started to lay eggs in july.

The antias: i always assume they were way too difficult to even try them until a friend new to the hobby successfully kept them.
So i decided to add three in the spring of 2017, one went mia during my holidays last fall. The remaining two are doing fine, the big one chasing the other from time to time. They are still orange/females.

Not so much...
Simple sump, no separation, skimmer, carbon run passively, gfo in a two little fish reactor, some live rock remove from the display the lines fotr the kh,ca and mg supplementation and 2 tunze return pumps, one of them going throught a 1/8 hp chiller.
I almost forgot... a whole bunch of wires.
Might post a pic tomorrow, but really there isn't much to see.

Ok, another coral that i mentioned but didn't post pictures of it.
24k from fragbox bought last february.
First pic is from april, second one is this week. This piece(seem to be a millipora) is starting to get some nice coloration.

Some troubles in paradise...
Last thursday one of my frag of red planet went rtn overnight and some pieces of my blue tort started to have flesh peeling off.
I did some water test and found out that my kh was way lower than what it was supposed to be(i was lazy with my testing this last months), 5.6 instead of 7. It appear that my dosing pump needed calibration, it was dosing 35 ml instead of 45 ml during calibration.
So i did a water change on friday(1/5) and raised up the kh to 7.6 over the course of three days(i'll try to keep it near 7, 7.5).
The good news is that no other corals seem to have a rought time than these two, the colony of red planet look good and so far only one piece of blue tort looks to be a goner.
I did make a dip in revive for this one to see if there was any aefw(there wasn't) or if i could stop the rtn. The dip was yesterday along with the following picture and today the necrosis look worse, i will probrably toss it or at least prune heavilly tomorrow.

Well, that's funny, i can't post more than 1 pic per reply tonight.
Usually there is no problems.

The "jacked walt disney", these two corals were starting to get it too close for my taste. I glued the wd on a little piece of epoxy, he's too little to go to war(and worth too much).
