Certainly a beautiful tank, Eli!

I got my jbj 28 gallon cube a little over a week ago. Sand and live rock have been added. It's a old used system that came with a metal halide inside the canopy. I have a new fluorescent hood in the mail, due Tuesday, or so. Here's to hoping the dimensions are the same.

I do have an LED fixture sitting around as backup. Just have to find a way to hang it!

Thanks rob!

Sounds like a great setup as far as the halide goes how is the fan? It looks like a closed top so it must get hot whats the temp get too?

That's the problem. The previous owner removed the fans and the glass that covers the metal halide bulb. That and put in a 70 watt bulb, running it on a 150 watt ballast. (They should the same wattage from what I understand.)

The bulb is burning out so I run it just long enough for a view and for pics so don't have the foggiest how the bulb affects water temperature. :-)

Found a good deal on a brand new jbj canopy with Quad compact fluorescents with 4 led moonlights.

This is the tank with it.

Looks like they may show up on the side. Just downloaded the new Tapatalk. Guess I have to figure it out.

Nearly two weeks now. It's probably ready for critters. Need to check parameters before tomorrow's water change.
