my troubled trumpet

i have a large trumpet i have had a couple of years its doubled in size even with me pruning it. now it seems to have a parisite or something in places its swelled and seems to have a slimycoating over it in those places the tenticle wont or cant come out at night other places are fine fat and healthy,looks like some type of worm or parisite has made nest in it.this is
one of my first corals reall hate to loose it please help if you ever heard of this i am trying to get a pic to post asap
