my upgrade journal/journey

i did do a big order of pods from reef by steele, but it must not be enough. i never have messed with phyto
With a Wrasse and Mandarin you'll likely go through a LOT of pods until you get a really good established population.

Yeah… my old pair of mandarins started loosing weight when I added a yellow chrysus wrasse… I had to rehome the wrasse within a month!

well pooh. i used to have a great population. the wrasse might have to go. bummer.... 😭
Hmm… feed a bit more frozen until the new tank is up and running? — bigger system = more pod production capacity!

possibly looking at doing the big move tomorrow. nail-biting! should i try to reuse some of my water? or just use all new?
I always reuse most of the water from the old tank during a move unless there is an issue with the tank the water came from.

got it. thanks. and ive had this sand rinsed and sitting in buckets of water in the garage with dr tims added to it. can i just dump it in? or do i need to rinse it again?

I can't think of any reason you would need to rinse it again.

ok here we go. i got the idea, that this old fish box we rescued from the ocean from a shipwreck, (another story for another day!)would work perfect to hold the livestock! just got done cleaning it up and now to fill it up!

That's a nice cooler!

the fish and coral might need to be in a tote overnight. is putting something in there for water movement enough? or do i need a bubbler too?
As long as you have decent surface agitation they should be fine.
