my upgrade journal/journey

@tbrown or @UncommonSense , i want to order some of those random flow generators. cant figure out what size i need. i thought the website had how to measure, but im not finding it now
Your loc line is 3/4”, I think a single 3/4” RFG on each line would provide the best effect with your system!

(2x 3/4” RFGs in total!)

ok i just ordered them! but now im wondering if i got the right thing 🫣 . i just clicked on the 3/4 one i saw. it has to ends. now i see there is also one with just a single

Post a picture. I recommend the TPU RFGs.

If you bought this:

It's fine.

yes, thats what i bought
So that just has "extra" parts. The Y you won't necessarily need. The additional Loc-Line is good to have, and the two fittings that attach to the bulkhead you won't need.

Price wise, you paid an extra $3 for the Y and extra Loc-Line which isn't a bad deal at all.

If you got the liquid, that's true for most. I think Brightwell has the most bang for your buck as far as less cost and most concentrated.

The dry stuff is better. You can buy a bag of magnesium for almost the same price as a small bottle of premixed.

You want both. If you can't use both, use Magnesium Chloride only.

The mix for both is 8 cups of magnesium - 7.25 cups of magnesium chloride and 0.75 cups of magnesium sulfate or 8 cups of magnesium chloride - and 1 gallon of RO water

Either should be fine. I'm guessing two part is basically Randy's recipe which is both sulfate and chloride. The general is probably just chloride.

ok. so is this something im going to have to set up the doser for? or just add it daily until my numbers come up?

Up to you. Daily works or dose.

Are you dosing calcium and alk? All For Reef?

If you're dosing AFR you shouldn't have to dose Calcium or Alkalinity separately... Or Magnesium technically.
