ok heres what i did. this will work for tonight i think! but when we tweaked the valve a little, it stopped leaking. so i guess we'll see

Ah! Fingers crossed that it stays drip free for the night… it sounds like the stem o-ring has definitely torn!

You may want to disable ATO for the night, just so it isn’t dumping water into the system to compensate for any further leaks!

i never set my ATO up. i had read horror stories of those gone wrong and got cold feet. its still in the box. i top off manually

Is it a Tunze Osmolator 3? I can’t recall!

— that particular ATO can only dump around 3 gallons of water into a tank before the 10minute safety cutoff engages, so it’s much safer than many! (You can technically change this setting, too!)

Well, that could be worth a check later!

In the meantime, hopefully you plan to shut down return pumps and address that leaky gate valve today?

Oof… I’m so sorry!!

Usually, these things don’t start leaking a ton until you touch them again… definitely focus on bigger priorities!
