My wave maker stopped working!

Hello fellow reefers! So my Jebao wave maker stopped working and I DID NOT want to spend more money. I did some research on Youtube and found this video. This guys idea actually worked! I figured I'd share it since I'm probably not the only one with this issue. Here it is!

Yes - this is a good fix - i have seen it before.

However - the RW series had a part of their electronics inside the pump and this construction seems not so reliable. I have had RW-8 since the start of my present aquarium (2016) and my interior design does not allow larger (in dimension) pumps - I designed my rock formations so that they would hide the pumps. I´m stuck with RW8 and pumps with smaller physical dimensions. Between June 2016 and November 2023 (nearly 7.5 years ) I used 8 pumps of RW8. 2023 it was not possible to buy RW8 from Sweden and I bought Jebao SW-8 instead. A smaller pump (according dimensions) but all electronic in the controller. The 2 I have have run for near 2 years now without any problems - and with no cleaning (they are placed in the dark)
