My Wellsophyllia dying

I have had this guy two months maybe a little more
A 45 AIO tank water depth is 21 inches.
Water parameters are all within pare meters with phosphates a little high
But everything is good
I have a Radion xr15 G4 Pro which is 8 inches above water line
The coral sits either at 20 inches or on the bottom sand with medium water flow (two vortechs MP10's on either of the tank four inches below water line running at 45%
He appears to be bleaching out but why
( the blue on him is really white I tried to raise the white)

It's my experience the top two cause of issues with this coral are

1. Over illumination/under LED.
2. Alkalinity instability.

If it were mine I would move it to an area of reduced intensity and begin to train it to feed at night and eventually during the day.

It's probably a goner....but as said above move to a shadier place and feed feed feed welsos and trachys need to be fed IME to thrive. What test kits do you use and what are you testing for?

I have Hanna and Red Sea both stay at 9.6 for ALK
As I said it sits on the bottom of the tank 27 inches from the light which I only run at 50%
So should I put it in the shadow

I would put it in a shaded area and definitively attempt to feed if you want to save it.

Thanks doing it moved it under a "cliff" and have been feeding it article pods.
Now I got to make sure the Diamond Goby doesn't cover it up with sand

I just want to add a 3rd issue: water flow. Must be low., not moderate, LOW!

I'm really sorry to hear about y ok ur coral:( remember you are not in this alone we all have losses.i have lost quite a but of coral because I chose to rush things and when they died I would run out and get more instead of figuring out the real cause for the corals death. I wish you the best

Mine sat on the bottom of the tank so it had low everything

All my wellso are on the sand but i have a pump that is strong for them. I will change it for a weaker one! My colored wellso had part of a lip up all the time, i guess was to protect itself from the current, and started to have white part in it's mouth. I moved her for more low current and she back to her wonderful colors, back to normal!!! Very sensitive coral oh i also reduced my day light (ati aquablue special) to 4 hours a day instead of 7.

I lost a spectacular wellso due to some amateur errors, my favourite one by the way (photos are in thread show us your trachy). Strong light, moderate current and mainly my dwarf angel yellow flavissimus.
When i took him out of my tank was too late. I still miss that wellso a lot...

I'm terribly sorry to hear that: ( my favorite was a holy grail torch and I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong and how I lost it. Hang in there we all go through it ,your not alone!
