Pictured below is unfortunately one of my anthias that has passed. I have had two Bangaii cardinals, three cleaner wrasses & now this guy. All with the same noticeable marking die. Not all have been right by the gills but all on their sides & only One side. No signs of aggression in the tank other than my tang is very hyper and swims quickly and a lot.

This is a quarantine tank & inhabited by
Magnificent fox face (MED)
Gold rim tang (SMALL)
Copperbanded Butterfly (S/M)
One Bangaii Cardinal
Two lyretail anthias

Could something in their be killing off new fish...? If picture doesn’t show, looks like open wound size of pinky nail on side of fish.

How old is this tank?
What are your parameters: ammonia, nitrate, ph, salinity, temperature?
What test kit are you using?

This is exactly what it seems to be... only on smaller delicate fish with less of a slime coat I feel... I’ve done minimal research on Uronema. Is there a successful way of eradicating it from quarantine? Should I worry about adding the fish that have survived to my direct tank in the next few weeks ?

QT tank is about a month old but used my reef tank water to set it up so beneficial bacteria was already established. Ammonia 0 ; Nitrite 0 ; Nitrate (20-50) ; Salinity 1.024 ; Temperature is at 77 F

Not that its off by much- Salinity to 1.025 and nitrates need to drop to about 10-15 and Bacteria will be in rock pieces, not in the tank water for which you can or may get swings in parameters although its a QT tank
