Honestly, I am still waiting to see what photo you enter here

September, 2018 POTM Contest - Anything Goes

This Acropora photo would definitely be a contender. You have about a thousand Trachyphyllia photos too. There are tons of amazing images on display already and I do not know how they will choose. That all said, there is no question you have the eye and skill to beat them all.

Thanks all, more detail in a bit, 4 bags floating! ;)

1 of the bags is a monti plate with blue polyps, well half of the plate!
I said I wanted it, he laughed!
It turns out it is a plate that I gave him a couple of years ago as a frag, I lost my colony in a temp. spike, he snapped it in half and gave me it back for free.
Restores your faith in human nature a bit! :)

That’s great! I just took a JF Flame coral that wasn’t doing well for a local reefer. I hope I can recover it and give it back to him when his tank stabilizes.

I hope to be like you vets some day. For now I have mostly fish. I plan to fill the tank with coral! I'm still trying to get the best lighting. I have two LED lights overhanging the tank. Two blue and two white bulbs.

Beautiful Coral! One day my tank will get there.

If you have patience and a soft approach it will happen! :)

Morning stretch (Yawn..... )

It appears to like it's spot, loving it! :)

Looking great as always :) I’m looking forward to see what you change up during your time off.

Setting a doser and ato up, new heaters and controllers and return pump maintenance! ;)

I saw it 2 days ago, might not bother this month. ;)

Beat them all except one. LOL :p

Go dude! ;)

The island rock from the front, the dark red / purple monti is coming out, the coral at the back is moving in soon. :)

The fish were in the same bag, bag 4 was a piece of black sponge that I am very excited about, I used an elastic band to hold it to an old piece of skeleton, it was very fiddly but it spent about 1 second out of water in my care, bowl to cube end introduction! ;)

75 gallon. 0 nitrate, 0 ammonia. Solidity 1.0. I currently do calcium doses with Fritz part 1.

That is a heavy fish load for early on in a tank, imo, don't add corals if your nitrate is zero, let your "system" settle, England here, I don't know Fritz products.

I may be a little of on nitrate. Getting water tested tomorrow. I will definitely update. Oh and yes, no more fish. Lol

I moved the cover to feed the frozen brine and garlic, it takes a couple of minutes because there are 3 fish that hand feed from it.
Looked back when I sat down, 1 scissor tail missing!
Serious, 10 minutes of frantic searching, nothing, I sat back down.
I caught a tiny movement in the corner of my eye, it decided that that was the point to check them a home for the night!
I did utter a naughty word! ;)
