I have a 29hqi and Its been running a bit warm, getting up to 83-84. I cut on a cooling fan some but it doesn't really help. Should I just get a 1/15 hp chiller or those cooling probes? Will I be able to fit a chiller under the stand?

I would invest in the chiller. The chiller probe will work for a bit, but typically won't have a long lifespan. One thing to keep in mind with chillers is that they need to be installed in a well ventilated area.

Ah forgot about that. They need a separate pump though right? Where should I put it in the 29 jbj nano cube?

When I had my BC29 (power compacts) we had the chiller pump in the center chamber. I put the chiller next to the stand to make sure it had enough ventilation. I was running the aquaeuro 1/13 hp. I actually kept that and am running it on a bigger tank now. IMO they are worth the investment to keep a stable temp tank.

On my bc29 I had a jbj 1/10. Ran the mj1200 return pump through the chiller and back out the return nozzle. Chillers need a lot of ventilation. Not sure it will last long in a cabinet.

Why is it running so high do you know as if you can eliminate the cause you may not need the chiller ... is it a pump or is your heater not running correctly even if it is set for a lower temp ?

The fans blowing over the top should help though .. wondering why they are not ... is your light too close to the water maybe ?
