My son got a free 10gal cube at MACNA along with real reef rock. We are cycling it (day 4, we have a while, lol).

We have cats and love gobies- and all my tanks have lids. This is a lidless rimless. Buying a custom lid is costly for such a small tank, so I thought I would make one.

I bought a square of plexiglass that fits perfect, a plastic cutter, silicone (medical grade- marketed to parents to cover corners of tables/counters) corner covers and feet. My thoughts were to cut out space for the HOB and light, and use feet to hold it on, with the corner pieces to lift it a bit for some air exchange.

It should be similar to my Fluval Spec III that I use for freshwater shrimp (sitting next to it in pic).

Is there anything else I need for this? Something I’m forgetting? I haven’t started sticking things yet.
