Thanks! That is helpful. I'm between either the Eshopps Nano or the Icecap K1 Nano I think. I want to be able to fit it in the second chamber and not have to rearrange things in the middle or I'd probably consider one of the slightly larger Tunze skimmers.

I have been running the Duetto ATO for almost a year and love it. I've never had any issues with the magnet knocking off.

Seeded some pods from Algae Barn a few weeks ago when I kicked off the fuge with some chaeto. Been feeding phyto daily and the pods population has exploded. Tank is looking healthy and things are progressing along well.

Moved a Zoa frag from our other tank over so it has its first coral now. Will keep an eye on it to see how it adjusts and does.

The invert crew has been enjoying the tank and hopefully we can get a fish in it soon. Our LFS ordered a pink streaked wrasse and a squat lobster for us to add in but due to holiday shipping delays we are still waiting. Hopefully we can get it in before the end of the year.

Decided to make the island on the front left a ricordea garden. Can’t do a zoa garden because the decorator crab will most likely pick them off and take them around the tank with him. Got this very nice looking one from a local reefer to get it started. It really pops under the blues which are dominant since we run the WWC program on our AI Hydra 32.

Also picked up a nice looking small torch which I temporarily placed to get it acclimated. Once it looks comfortable I’ll try to lock in a home for it.

Lastly picked up some cyphastrea which I’m going to set on the back wall and see if it will encrust it. Was thinking that might create a nice look with a a couple different varieties eventually to see how it’ll blend together.

Tank is looking great so far.

Another skimmer question...do you know if you have the original one or the redesign? I was getting really close to ordering it but now I'm reading that they redesigned it at some point last year and it doesn't fit in the IM25 equipment chamber anymore. I'm having a lot of trouble finding a reliable answer. The redesigned footprint looks like its 4.5"x3" and the equipment chamber is only 4 inches wide.

Thanks.

Awesome thanks, looks like the newer version. Reviews are all over the place in regards to the redesign so I was getting worried about fit.
It’s pulling light to decent looking skimmate right now but with such a light bioload I wouldn’t expect it to get much yet.

It did only fit in when you set the adjuster knob to face over the divider between its chamber and the return one in the middle. You can still move it all the way down if you need to and the air line isn’t pinched so it’s a tight fit but totally workable. You just need to watch the adjuster switch on the pump itself as I bumped it when I was adjusting the pump once I had it in the chamber

Me too. Also a pair of Yasha or High fin gobies and a candy cane pistol shrimp,
I put in an order the other week with @Dr. Reef the other week for a Dracula goby, red banded coral shrimp and some sexy shrimps. Apparently we are going invert heavy in the tank right now.

Our LFS has been trying to get us a pink streaked wrasse and a squat lobster but they seem to be getting caught up in shipping issues. Hopefully after the holidays that will settle out.

To OP we do have solid red pistol shrimp available if you need one.

Responce to cconnolly,
Pink streak wrasse are extremely fragile and very rare. Due to reason they dont make shipping.
I have tried them over and over and out of 40-50 only 5-7 survive. just my experience many times over.

Oh I didn’t realize that terrible shipping rate on them. I was focused on the fact nobody who has one has a bad word to say about them. My LFS just said they were in short supply due to the holidays and COVID shortages.

Do you have any alternative more sustainable suggestions for a 25 gallon lagoon that are not aggressive and safe with small inverts but active and look good under blue dominant lighting?

Pink streak wrasse had not been around for a while now.
4 line wrasse is a good alternative along with mystery wrasse.

Also started to clean up the cabinet a bit by getting things into a power bar. Going to mount things and clean up the cables later this week when I have a little more time. Feeling good about how things are coming together
Hey I got a question for you. Are you able to fit the IM 5 gal reservoir inside the 25 lagoon stand? I have the nuvo 20 and I’m not able to fit their 5 gal reservoir in the stand unless I modify it a little.

When I mounted the shelf I wasn't accounting for the IM 5 gal reservoir so it doesnt fit at the moment. I've got the last couple weeks of the year off from work and was planning on trying to raise the shelf up to fit in the reservoir and permanently mount and clean up my power cabling/controllers. Ill post an update as to whether I was successful or not.

My only concern is that when I pour water into the top tray some gets stuck there and Ive been tipping the whole unit to get it to go down into the main compartment. Not sure how much extra room I'll need to leave for that strategy to work or if I just let the residual stuff sit in the loading tray.

Im sorry trying to envision what you’re saying without seeing it. If the adjuster knob is facing over the divider for chamber 2 and the return chamber, does that mean the magnet is in the water of chamber 1?

Im in the exact same predicament as @mattysreef and don’t know which nano skimmer to get. Was thinking about getting the Nuvoskim even tho so many reviews mention pump failure.

The magnet is still in the chamber with the skimmer. You just need to angle it right or the knob won’t fit. I’ll snap a picture when I get a chance later today or this evening.

It fits perfectly fine so I wouldn’t rule out this skimmer for that reason.

Apparently I remembered wrong. I spun it around and removed the issue with the knob. Pictures attached that hopefully show it for you

Thank you sir, looks like a tight fit but it works! I might just have to order that now. Can’t seem to keep my nitrates below 15. Not the end of the world but I can tell my SPS like it more the lower they are.
