Nassarius snail

So I have seen my nass snail in over 4 weeks, I just recently bought reef roids for my torch coral and i fed it today for the first time and bam withing seconds he came popping out of my sandbed. Ive missed him lol I even thought of buying another cause I like them so much. His shell is amazing! So what I'm getting at is should I be feeding my snails? Or are they getting nutrients from the reef roids as well?

I've had them for a few years now and never target feed them. They eat whatever makes it to the sand bed.

I never feed mine. Some times a don't see them for months.
