Good Evening All,

I've added a new clean up crew to my 65 gal Red Sea Max 250 yesterday. The clean up crew had 10 hermit Carbs and one electric blue crab. I have two Nassarius snails that have been known to eat crabs. This evening I checked on the tank and all I see are little red and blue legs everywhere. My question is, I thought Nassarius snails scavengers.

I have 100 of them in my tank and you don't see them at all unless you feed the tank and they come out. Are you sure that they are doing it.

I'm thinking that your hermits are killing each other. I had that problem when I was still stocking hermits. The snails are probably scavenging the dead hermits imo.

Or the,or a, hermit crab has molted. I have seen many hermits I've added to my tank molt in 2-3 days after I add them. Nassarius snails are scavengers, not killers.
