I just downloaded the newest update, watched the video and went step by step. I got my system rebooted and now one of my power bars is acting like it isnt working. The blue light is not on and it is not showing up on the PAB list.

Also, after I recycled the power, it still shows the firmware date of 2019.

I put in a ticket, but does anyone have suggestions in the mean time?

What exactly did you update?
The ProfiLux itself or the powerbar?

If you did a P4 firmware update and it still shows the FW date from 2019, then that means the wrong version of GCC was used to do the update. Download the newest version of GCC (v1132) and do the update with that.

Updating the P4 firmware will have no affect on your PAB-devices.

If you tried to update a PAB-device like a doser and still had a powerbar connected, then that will cause the powerbar to become unresponsive. The firmware for a PAB-device was loaded onto the wrong device. In that case the GHL logo light on the Powerbar will be OFF which means you'll have to follow the emergency update steps to recover that powerbar.

Emergency update steps for PAB-device
  • Disconnect all PAB-devices from your P4
  • Connect only the unresponsive PAB-device; in this case that's the powerbar
  • Connect to your P4 using GCC, click the EXTRAS tab and click Firmware update in the PAB section

  • Click Confirm, then navigate to the PAB-device folder

  • Select the PAB-device firmware file
    • Since you'd be recovering a Powerbar-6E, select Powerbar6E-PAB_V100.mhx
  • Confirm that you want to update the chosen device by clicking YES
  • When you see the message "No PAB device is connected', click YES

  • When you see this message, do as it says. Power OFF the PAB-device, power ON then quickly press OK. The update will now begin.

  • Once completed, power cycle the PAB-device and the GHL logo light will come back ON. You can now reconnect all your other PAB-devices.
