I did notice that your coral look like they are being overgrown by algae.

I have got snail In there to help with that but is there anything else I do for the algae..new to reed tanks so any help I'd great

I am not up to date on algae “cures” but others on this forum will be.

1) can they be taken out? If yes go to #2
2) hydrogen peroxide. Pull what you can with your fingers. H2O2 on a toothbrush and gently scrub the area. Let sit for a couple minuets. Rinse in tank water in a bowl then replace in tank. DO NOT USE FRESH WATER, AKA, TAP WATER.

3) this might not save the coral. I understand you are new to reef tanks. You picked the MOST SENSITIVE coral that for some with years experience can not keep.

4) need all the information on your tank.
EVERYTHING. Parameters, anything you have tested for.
Flow, lights, setting of lights and powerheads. Par. Any changes in parameters or tank lately?
How old is your tank? How did you cycle it?
We need everything and anything you can tell us.

Okk here we go..

All the levels are in range I test wed an Saturdays..an do a 1.5 gal water change weekly it only a 13.5 gal...installed a icecap skimmer Friday..did have a p2 skimmer on before. Have a wave maker in there but the motor keep turning backwards so new is coming today. Feed corals twice week with reed roids.tank been running total about 5-6 months..

BECAUSE OF THIS, I SUSPECT HIGH PO4.

TO NEW TO EVEN TRY SPS. THIS WILL BE VERY HARD BATTLE.

It's difficult to pinpoint problems with tanks sometimes with all information and you are giving us very little.
Can you help us help you please.

That is an sps coral, one of the harder corals to keep, even experienced reefers have hard time with sps corals. I would suggest to start with soft corals and lps corals, they are more forgiving of water parameters. Your tank is still new, your levels are Not in range as you say, I would suggest to leave sps corals until you have mastered your tank.

Get the flow moving
Don't worry about mag, it will come down on its own.
Ammonia is really 0.25?? Or is this an API test kit? That is false if it's API.

Alk 8ish...stop dosing or is this from water changes?
Po4, reef roids is causing this high number.
Stop using it. Try frozen, it has less po4 and more no3 that flakes, pellets.
