Hi all. New to saltwater aquarium hobby. I have had this pair of clownfish in my 55 gallon for about 1 month now. Just 4 days ago the more slightly bigger clown started to attack the smaller one. Looks like it’s trying to establish dominance. But yesterday I noticed the smaller clown has a white foggy film of skin in front of its left eye. Did some research and I’m not sure if it’s hurt or brooklynella. It’s fins was also damaged dell the attacks but now there seems to be a foggy film at the ends. Any help is much appreciated.

Could be flukes and either brook, velvet, ich, or even all I the above.

I’d start with a freshwater dip in a dark bucket, match the temperature. If little sesame seed looking things drop off, flukes are what’s on the eyes (that’s what it looks like to me) with some injuries perhaps other ailments as well. Brook is treated with metroplex, ich and velvet with copper or CP. You can mix these meds in a quarantine.

Flukes are treated with prazi pro, two doses 5-7 days apart, typically.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately it died 2 days ago. I had it isolated in a smaller breeder cage for 3 days and it was fine after. No signs of physical illness. Fins and everything healed. But then 4 days ago it’s wasn’t swimming normal and wasn’t eating. My other clown looks fine totally unaffected by it. Is it possible that it was too stressed by being attacked by my other clown?
