Hi all got this hitchhiker on piece of live rock that's too big to put in tables so it's in my sump not getting enough light.
Any ideas what it is?
How can I get it to detach from rock so I can put it on plug on my tables?
Thanks all

looks like a nem. it will move on its own, or irritate the foot gently (rub it)with ur finger and it will release
Right was thinking Nem as well. Cant see its foot its hunkered down in a crack and seems to like the spot it's in considering it's been there since I got the rock. Would rather it up on the tables looks like it's getting pale losing color under t5.

You have to try to irritate it's foot, and yeah it's really hardy

Right on I'll have to see if I can get at it.
Will it be cool with my clownfish?

Never saw them host or read about them being the least bit compatible. Definitely a good find, get under some good light and decent flow and you should be fine.

Also not sure how it would react to being plugged, they tend to like to find spots that are adequate for them and then hunker down. My carpet settled down after I put him on a large rock and he found a suitable spot. Be careful trying to remove it, any damage to the foot and it’s probably game over. Best of luck and again good find.

Thanks I tried to nudge it around even broke up rock around it but it's way tucked down in a crack and for now stuck where its going to be which is where it probably been for a while. If I had to guess probably 6-9 inches easy considering its 3-5 inches just basking in zero light and shriveled up.

You could find a place in your ”tables“ for it that it doesn’t like. High flow... too much light... then it will move off that rock by it self and you can take the rock back out
