So I have build a stand before for my 100 gallon from 2x4 but this time i am looking to build a stand for a small frag tank. I am looking for people who have built theirs from something other than 2x4 or 8020. I have a quote for 8020 and it is ridiculously expensive. for 18 x 18 stand over $500 bucks!!

show me your nano wood stands..

A simple plywood box will do - it's up to you how fancy or feature enhanced you want to make it. I did one for a small cube tank a while back:

I don't have one but if I did it would be made out of 3/4" furniture grade plywood

@don_chuwish that's some nice work there, simple, clean and stylish. The stand that came with my 29gal Aqueon from Petco bottom dropped out from spill water from the sump and I've been contemplating a DIY as a replacement. I like what you did there out of simple plywood.

Thanks! I used a biscuit jointer for all the butt joints but pocket screws would do just as well.
