Need help to mount Aquatic Life T5 Hybrid inside my canopy

Hello. I bought a Aquatic Life T5 Hybrid and also Kessil A360X's. I need to install this inside my wood canopy. The challenge is how. I am using the 16" end plats, which removes the extra LED brackets as an option. I need to use the recessed tracks in the two horizontal fixtures. I cannot find any screw that will fit. I was considering a 3 or 4" screw with a small enough head to install in the track but am striking out. MY best option is to the the included wire harness but it is too long as I need the light wiithin an inch or so of the canopy (I have a along open in the top for airflow). Anyway, I am wondering if there is a way to shorten the wire which would require to replace the end piece which looks to be soldered or welded. Or maybe I can find a shorter length on line. My plan would be to install 4 hooks on the inside of the canopy and connect the wire to them for easy install and removal.

Has any done this? I figure I need to shorten the wire about 2-3 inches or find one shorter with the same connections to go into the recessed track,

Any help would be much appreciated.

I would build a “lip” around the inside of the canopy, at the depth you want the lights, and just sit the fixture on it.

Good luck. I was just in your shoes and ended up returning the fixture, opting for additional LED units instead. It’s really meant to hang from the ceiling.

Hello....actually I forgot about that idea...I think I would do that with a wood support on each end of the canopy. Maybe drill a screw through the support, with a wing nut to quickly install or remove it. That is a pretty easy solution I think.

I drilled 2 holes above the end caps on the end of each set of lights and screwed it directly to the canopy. I have a Radion XR15 which ventilates from the top so I purchased longer M5 screws and nuts to space it lower and further from the canopy.

Another option is to fix L brackets to the side of the light. I did not have the side clearance and went with directly screwing the lights to the canopy.
