Need more white supplement with Kessil A360x

Hello all,

I'm looking for more of a daylight look than the Kessil can provide. I see reefbrite XHO "hybrid" kits, but they only offer with blue leds. Anyone know if I can find the same thing with white leds or a similar alternative? I really don't want to buy a different light right now, but if I could start over, I would just go with the xr15 pro...

Tank is 18" cube.

Might take a look at quanta.
I am using kessil/T5 in my build but quanta is where Ill likely go when I do end up swapping to led.

I like the atlas light but It's overkill for my nano.

Not the atlas, the helix. They make bars too. It would go past the edges though. 18" is pretty tight.

What about swapping to a daylight Kessil and using it in "more blue" mode?

There are tons of daylight strips out there if you aren't particular on brand....you aren't going to be adding a ton of watts, so IMO brand won't matter much.

I agree with you, I'm open to any led strip or solution that will mount to the Kessil. Can you point me in the direction of a potential mount or solution? I have competence with DIY, just don't know where to start with this one. The goal is to have everything in one unit looking clean over the tank if possible

If the unit is mounted close to the water, then you might even test out some simple flexible LED strips....no lenses so the spread might be too much unless you implement reflectors or a shade of some kind...but the price is right if they work out. Usually they are switchable between cool/neutral/warm too. Regular undercabinet LED strips are another option that can be cheap and worth testing, but usually a lot more than the flexible strips (which are *really* cheap).

Of course it would be up to you to make it look good and integrated in either case.

Question: Even with the R, G and Vi sliders all the way up you still can't get it's white enough?

I don't have a controller for the Kessil, just turned the manual dial to "full color". Will I be able to add substantially more white with the controller?

Yes. Operating the three channels together it's basically a white channel… A slightly specialized RGB. You can do the test sliders on Kessil's website.... gives you the general idea.
