Welcome to Reef2Reef you’ll find a ton of great advice. It all depends on the size of your tank and if you’re going to be doing corals and what kind of corals. There’s a lot lights out there that are very reasonable and will grow anything. I actually have a couple different lights for sale if you’re interested. Good luck

Hello! Welcome to the best reefing community to ever exist in the history of forever and ever. If you're looking for a cut and dry answer this light is a little small but I think it'll allow you to get off your feet. It can grow Softies and LPS like it's nobodies business and legend has it it can even grow sps. Remember that coral growth/keeping is like 25% light. Flow, parameters, and maintenance our huge factors as well!
I’m planning on doing both sps and lps and it doesn’t matter. I’m just looking for the right light.
it all depends on what you want to grow. Softies and lps are a good to start with.
