Tank is looking great. Awesome job. How do you like that skimmer? I just picked up a 120 and can't figure out which skimmer to buy. Lol

Thank you! :) The Bubble Mag is a great skimmer! I had the eschopp but it was not the best, got the bubble and it was a instant difference. I don't know if I updated that in this post. Congrats on your 120g! PM me if you have any questions, ill do my best to help.

I did not update my post. I got the bubble magus curve 5. Perfect for a 120g. The Eschopp was junk IMO.

Awesome to hear about the BM 5. I'm looking into getting the coral box cloud 9. They're on sale for $220 which is a killer deal and I want to plumb a frag tank into this at some point.

I don't know much about the Coral Box but hope it works out for you. Seems like a great deal ;)

Last week I added my 3 new babies into the tank.

They hide all day and come out a little at night. The 3 sleep inside the back area of the rock. Very safe. They come out maybe in 2 to feed then go right back.

Is this normal behavior? I wish they were summing all over all the time lol.

Cool looking fish tho

Picked up a bubble coral at my LFS today. Been wanting one from the first day. Excited! Dipped it and now need to find a spot in my tank. :)

Today I did my first pump cleaning. I just did the return pump and power head. “What a difference” I probably gained back 20% power from my return pump. It was full of sludge.

I soaked the casing in vinegar besides the propeller itself. I have heard vinegar can cause rusing in the magnetic. I used a tooth brush and that alone worked wonders. I also clean up salt creep on my sump. I’ll do my skimmer in a few months. As it’s newer and I did not use it last month due to fish treatment.

I’ll stick with a 6 month cleaning. I had an issue with my optical eye on my ATO and I cleaned that off really good with vinegar as well.

Tank is back up and running like new!

Well,

Past few days my Tunze ATO pump has been making a funny noise. I have it in a RODI bucket of water with nothing added. I have had it running for about 7 months.

Today I got home and looked at my controller panel it said low level. After taking the pump out it just won’t turn on. I ordered one on amazon prime and tunze is sending me out a new one after sending them a receipt, so that’s good news.

Just another day in the hobby. :)

looks good! and yes grounding probes are never a bad thing.

I would say your tank was much too new to support a leopard wrasse. Starting with dry rock, it takes much longer for the tank to mature.

The leopards pretty much require live foods. May be able to get them eating frozen.
