Good evening Reefers,

I am trying to set up a Neptune ATK in a somewhat unconventional way. I have recently moved part of my ATK (the PMUP) to a fish room some way away from the tank.

1. In my aquarium stand, I have one FMM module with the two optical sensors plugged in (ATK_LO and ATK_HI)
2. In my fish room I have the PMUP on a separate FMM module.

While the PMUP switches on just fine and moves water to the sump when i manually slide it to "ON", the ATK does not work as a module like it did when it was connected to the same FMM module.

My code for the PMUP as per below (copied from the previous setup on same FMM!)

Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If ATK_LO OPEN Then ON
If ATK_HI CLOSED Then OFF
When On > 005:00 Then OFF
Defer 000:10 Then ON
Defer 000:04 Then OFF
Min Time 060:00 Then OFF

Any comments, please? :)

I saw your answer on my entry in the other thread. ( https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/help-with-atk-using-2-fmm-modules.988574/#post-11954130 ). I'm no guru on this subject manner but I am curious about this. I'm also slightly confused about what the setup is. If we call the FMM module under the tank as FMM1 and the one in the fish room as FMM2, can you verify what is plug into each. I am also assuming that you have both programmed the same. Is FMM2 connected by aquabus lines? Wouldn't it be easier to just to run a electrical line from FMM1 to carry the 24 volts to the pmup in the fish room?

I would verify the PMUP outlet is watching the correct sensors.

As long as.it is the PMUP can just be plugged into a 1-Link port on an EB832 and watch any sensor you tell it to.

FMM1 (Apex brain) - Mounted close to my main display
- Optical "ATK_LO"
- Optical "ATK_HI"

FMM2 (Fish room) - Under my stairs approx. 12 feet away from the tank
- PMUP

PMUP is plugged into a 1-Link port on an FMM module :) Should be fine like that..

As for the sensors; here's my code and a screenshot of the sensors in question:

Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If ATK_LO OPEN Then ON
If ATK_HI CLOSED Then OFF
When On > 005:00 Then OFF
Defer 000:10 Then ON
Defer 000:04 Then OFF
Min Time 060:00 Then OFF

Basis this; the PMUP should now be on and run for 5 seconds. It does not.

So, it's been another night and it still doesn't appear to work.

I have enabled the log function to track if the pump actually turns on; it's not on the list of charts I can generate though ..

Good news!

For whatever reason, over night it has magically decided to just work! Very pleased- and confused :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Got my flow 1/4" meter installed now, it does help to monitor for sure! Thanks to all who helped out with this.. :star-struck:
