Neptune Cor 20 long term reviews

Well, I know their warranty and customer service is like a tall glass of dumpster juice in July. I have a failing Cor20 bought new 3 months ago. Put on a new reefer. The pump is ran stand alone and the driver is failing. Of course their attitude is blame the customer even though my "diamond" dealer installed it. I have literally not touched the thing once. Now I've set up plenty of tanks and know what I'm doing. This particular tank was just too heavy for me so I paid my dealer to do it.They said it has to be your system. Pipes clogged etc.. .. Now they want me to give them a $99 deposit so they can send me a new controller that's supposed to be under warranty. As a business owner myself that's completely unacceptable for a product that is practically new. So I've ordered a new pump. Different brand. This one will be boxed up and sent directly to them with a letter stating where they can stuff it and I will spend my dollars somewhere else.. That's my story...

Can someone pop opera their cor 20 driver? Does the black wire on the 4 pin go towards the front (where power cord is) or to the back? I think I got mine wet and it stopped working. Sounds like the driver is known to fail so maybe it wasnt me but I forgot to look at how it reconnects

The Cor 20 does not have the 1Link port as it uses the additional DC power brick. The Cor 15 uses the 1Link and I copied the User Guide image below. Not sure if that is what you are referring to or the actual cable connection. If so that has a guide on it I thought.

Im talking inside the controller. I opened it up to dry it out but it really didnt have much moisture in it but I just want to put it back correct. Tried both ways, just dont know which way is correct

Back when the Cor 20's came out everyone was skeptical about how long these pumps would last. I believe a lot of the concern was that Neptunes wav pumps were running into issues so they weren't sure if the return pump would have issues. I was hoping that some of the user's that have been using the Cor-20 for a while now would have any feedback on them. I currently use a Vectra S1 and it's slightly undersized and its also running into issues now so I was thinking about replacing it with a COR-20.

I also have two, one as a backup, and they were both 2nd hand, and I have had no issues except the urchin that went in to the sump who committed suicide .... sadly.

Ok, thanks for the clarity. I took a snapshot of your image above and added the red arrow pointing to the side of the connector. This edge usually faces down as it is used as a guide alignment for the connection.

I had to wait for my display lights to start ramping up before I could take mine apart to confirm for you. Apologies for the delay. If you look at mine you will see that the smooth part of the fitting is facing you, or on top. Grove on the bottom. You can also match wire color for proper direction.
