Hey everyone I'm just wondering if anyone is using a Neptune dose for an auto top off and how you have all that set up I'm trying to pull fresh water from my basement to my aquarium on my main floor

PMUP is WAY to unreliable for ATO. I've had 4 pmup's, they are all in the trash where they belong.Neptunes ATO pmup could probably run the distance without issues. Using a DOS to do it would require some additional sensors and code and trigger based on the open/closed of each. I've not used the DOS this way so really can't comment other than thinking about what you would need for action.
Yea I do that. Just over the course of a few days measure how much evaporation you’re using by measuring your sump level. Programs dos to dose that about per day. I have mine dosing a gallon a day. No need to relay upon any sensors or float valves. Maybe every 10-14 days I’ll top it off the tank with a gallon or 2 if there was more evaporation than I have inputHey everyone I'm just wondering if anyone is using a Neptune dose for an auto top off and how you have all that set up I'm trying to pull fresh water from my basement to my aquarium on my main floor

Weird, I’m still using the one from like 2016 when it first came out. Haven’t had any issues.PMUP is WAY to unreliable for ATO. I've had 4 pmup's, they are all in the trash where they belong.

Piece of mind with what? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of an apex dos going bad and staying on plus you can build in power draw monitoring so if it stays on for too long it shuts off power. I don’t see how anything else would create more piece of mind other than doing it manually unless that’s what you were referring to?Yea I do that. That will work but there really is no safety net. I understand the math side of it. Me personally would just like the extra safety for piece of mind.
I do not believe safety is needed in this application. I have been using the DOS for ATO for 5 + years, if they fail...... Almost never, they fail off, not on.
