I’ve had my DOS set up to dos 15 ML a day of all for reef. On 4/22 is dosed the proper amount on 4/23 it dosed nothing on 4/24 nothing. On 4/25, 4/26,4/27, it dosed 5400 ML a day. What in the heck could have caused this. I made 0 changes. As a matter of fact I was out of town on a hunting trip hardly even paying attention to the apex. I’m terrified to trust it again. Any ideas?

What is the amount of your dosing container for All For Reef (AFR). Above you are saying it dosed 5400 ml / day. That is almost 1 1/2 gallon of liquid or 5.4 liters thereabouts.

As @Shanel above noted it would help to see the programming and logs if possible.

I think I figured it out. I had it on “auto” leading up to the 23rd turned it off for a couple days because my calcium was going up to high, I turned it back on the 25th and put it on the “on” position apparently when it’s there it’s programmed to dose 200ML every 30 min. Woulda been nice to know.

Also my container is only like 1800 ML I’m just saying that logs said it tried to dose 5400

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like you have it sorted out which is great to hear. And yes I believe when it is set to "ON" it defaults to a set rate / minute instead of following your programming. I think Suncrestreef has a good tip in his guide about removing the tile to prevent this from happening.

I am not saying user error as to what you did but I believe that is why he recommends removing it to prevent it. If that makes sense.

Now I just need to figure why my the alk is testing 0 all the sudden on the trident after changing the reagent. I’m new to this controller stuff. Been in the hobby a long time but never had a controller up until a few months ago. Pretty nice when it’s all working as intended.

Did you go to tasks and click on replace reagent A?

A couple things to check, I've had this happen to me. Make sure the tube inside the reagent didn't fall of the 90 degree fitting. Make sure when you closed the tray you didn't kink the line. If all that's good, take the top cover off the face of the trident so you can see the cuvette. Then set the trident to prime the sample and reagent. Make sure the cuvette fills, it won't fill all the way to the top. It should fill with water from the tank and separately it would fill with reagent.

Thank you I’ll check these. Appreciate it
