The 80g is here! This is a replacement of my 120.
I can reach the entire tank without standing on anything!
The 30g remote fuge is still running.
I will be running all the equipment from the 120.
Sump 40B
Skimmer Tunze 9430dc
Carx modified 6" Skims media reactor
7" filter sock
Tunze ato with 10g Bashsea
Tunze and Jebao powerheads.
Lighting will be 3-4 16hds
1 16hd will be mounted on one side of the tank to replace the black box.
The tank measures 48x24x16 with only 13.5" of actual water depth.
This will be a BB frag system similar to my 45. I plan to growout some higher end colonies along with my favorite stags.
Thats it for now.

Whaaat your upgrade has…less..gallons? Looks clean dude, like you cut 6inches off the top for easy water gardening. Very nice
Yea the upgrade downsize was do to a back injury a year ago.
I still have future plans for a 300g system but right now I decided to go this route. I will never have a system that I cant reach without a ladder again, lol.
Being an old Halide guy this is a new adventure. The results I have had on my nano cube and frag system are the reason for converting to all leds on this system too.

Tank is full of water and running with the 30g fuge.
Waiting on 2-15"x15"x1.5" frag racks.
Will get at least 2 16hds soon with 4 total plus one for the fuge.
20g aio nano cube doing well.
45 frag system is full.

Excited to watch this build. You have the acro formula down. I'm not an old school reefer by any means, but I love how consistent your technique is. I was amazed how quickly your main build started growing acros and coraline. Definitely incorporating some classic ideas in my next build.

Thanks. I try and keep it as simple as possible with good results.
My nano cube is 3 months old and growing coraline and encrusting well.
No filtration except 3 baskets and 2g WC once a month. Dosing esv 2 part, ez-trace daily, and strontium once a week.

My xr15 gen 5 blue should be here monday. I will be running 2.
I have decided to run these on this system.
A lfs just replaced 6 black boxes with 6 of the xr15 blues over his frag system. I really liked the look of them.
30g fuge and total system volume is now close to 120g.
My 9430dc is skimming the fuge only and still skims for such a large skimmer on a small load system.
Best depth for this beast is 4.5"

Pic 2 120

I like the look of the Ab+ on the blues during the day at peak photo period. Do you think you'll try those Quanta Pro bars on any builds? I finally checked them out and they look super cool. Seems like they are a nice midrange option with the mix and match of t5 bulbs.

Lights on. It may take some time for the color to adjust. The colors are not even close to the 16hds in my frag system.
The 16hds currently give more vibrant color for now.
The radions will need some time which I have plenty of.
Look at the front frag its a green slimer. Second pic is in the same slimer in my frag system.

I got the 16hd hung and took a pic but I have an algae bloom in the water from a piece of Austrailan live rock I put in the fuge.
Changed carbon and its clearing up. Will get pics tomorrow.
Im am running the radiance setting now at 60%.
Still adjusting the 16hd.
The blue and purple stags are turning brown so most likely to much par.
I need to get a par meter next.
