First time posting here. Just wanted some opinions on my setup and see what should be adjusted. Will it have some photos? The wave maker on the left is currently off due to pushing sand around. Was also wondering if I should add a air stone or the wavemaker is enough.

Off to a good start :) . I would avoid adding air stones directly to the DT. I agree with pointing at least one of your water movers towards the surface. I would lower it about 1/3 of the way down the side of the glass and point it towards the surface so you are moving more than just surface water. I also agree on adding some more rock (for bacterial benefits as well as places to mount coral, fish to hide, etc.). I would probably also get a solid color background (or paint the back glass) to hide all the equipment visible through the glass. That alone will make a huge difference on the overall appearance of the tank. You also might want to check the height of the LEDs above the water....seems high but without measuring it is impossible to say.....plus if you aren't planning on having coral I guess it doesn't matter if you don't mind the light spill.

Thank you I really appreciate it. I'm going to do some upgrades tonight

Light is 10inches above water lowered the wave maker and turned on the other wave maker on the left.

Set up is looking better! I agree that blacking out the back of the tank to hide equipment would make a huge difference, it would alos show off your fisha nd corals in the future.

You could always cut a piece of black posterboard to fit, (or even a black trash bag) as a temporary measure, and to see if you think it will be worth your time to do permanantly...of course i would not plan on posterboard for long term, but it could show you the effect.

Beautiful juv algelfish .
be mindful that most corals you add if that’s the route you’re thinking will become a snack .
There are some corals that will be safe but a more stable and mature system is required .
Looks great so far and off to a great start . I would personally add more rocks for a average closer to 1lb of rocks per gallon of water volume

Hard to say-

every tank is different

start lower and worm your way up

The corals will tell you if they are happy

Color, polyp extension
