Hi all I have never done a built thread befor but here it goes. I have been running my 35g system for over 2 years and wanted to go with somthing bigger but not to big . The system I have now isn’t going to well not getting to much growth and batting with bottomed out po4 and no3 . So I want to start fresh and go bigger and build this tank right from the get go . I bought a used 48x24x18 as I love the shollower tanks and go a great deal on it but it was rimless and don’t like rimless tanks so I added on a glass rim to it . I also just built the metal stand and light rack for it that’s built in to the stand . I hope you guys can help me with this build and point me in the right Direction as I want to make this take sps dominated .
The lights I’m going with are the reefbrite mh hybrids 250w as I’m ditching the leds .

Sorry for the bad pics and the mess just cleaning out the basement lol

Just building my sump I went and got a 40g breeder for a sump and just building the baffles for it . Am not to sure if I should take up room in the sump for a refugium or run a second tank for it yet

Love the tank, stand and sump. What kit company did you use to make the sump using a 40B?
i made all the acylic stuff my self took me a little bit to make all the pieces i just used my little table to router to make most of the stuff. I really wanted a geo sump but i live in canada and it would cost me way to much to get one here i call it my knock of geo lol

I got the sump in and I had left over acrylic so I made a spill pan for the bottom
