Hey everyone - picked up this Acantho about a day ago from WWC. Acclimated and had a pretty decent feeding response.

As the day has gone on he started to shrink up and open its mouth and this is what it looks like now… (disclaimer, the moon light is on).

I did notice my wrasse kicked some sand on it today so not sure if that is the issue or if this is normal behavior.

parameters are all within range and everything else in the thank is super happy.

update?

It looks fine. They're very hardy. Mine gets sand on it all the time from dottyback and wrasse, doesn't seem to bother it at all. Its changes its shape constantly, especially when lights change or feeding.
