What you got from brs is fine.. it would be your storage container having a brass float valve or valve to open and drain water etc.. how old is your rodi unit? Do you burn through di resin? I’d assume you check the tds?

I use hannah checker and calibrate it with solution for the unit

Im not really a fan of icp but in your case I guess it would be the best bet to check for a contaminate and then rule those out. Randy had mentioned one the other day he would prefer if he used them.. from what I’ve seen each has their goods and flaws

I just calibrated my hannah salinity checker and did a reading at to my surprise the tank water tested at 1.030 would that be the cause?

My sps get very angry at that sg. And below 1.023

Used the old fashioned corallife deep six hydrometer and it read 1.036!

I also have a deep six. It's like 10 years old and still spot on.
Once you get straightened out and at a known sg, mark the deep six with a marker. That how to calibrate that.
