New Acro. Need help identifying it and cares.

Hi, I've just received an Acropora and need Help identifying it. If you can give advices about cares it would be appreciated. It is yellow and very fluorescent. It's very difficult to take photos. Thanks!

It is going to need to color up and show some corallites before a good identification can be made.

Does it look like this under whiter lighting? Pale acropora like this are typically really stressed and do not do well.

Agreed. Looks like a wild acro. It needs a lot of T5 or Halide high par. With LED higher par but not too much.

Yep looks wild and is very bleached from shipping. Keep it bery high flow and strong lighting. Expect it to go green or brown for a while if it recovers. I have had poor luck with wild corals so I avoid them now or I wait and see the wilds recover in the LFS tanks before buying.

- What should I do? I only have Radion G4, not T5. Should I increase white light?

Most newly arrived sps will look "pale" due to stress from long travel shipment & plus the corals are in the dark confinement thus the loss of colours. Just gradually expose the coral to strong lights by moving it up towards the lights week by week. It'll colour up and also Aussie acroporas are very hardy and tough (from my personal experiences). Good luck!

I know it's a new addition, but this coral looks like it's been in a holding tank or aquarium that uses zeo Spur, it reduces the amount of zooxanthellae within the coral, personal I'd keep it down low for a few weeks then slowly move up

I bought a frag of a light light acro in that shape and though this is unique, was dead and dying unique... Hope that colors up for you.... magnification viewer helps ....
