So my 20 gallon long is being used as my quarantine and medium term display tank while I finish the display tank build. I have a fluval ac70 with two sponges, thought added space for bacteria.
We got our new inhabitants today, Nemo (named by my three year old) and Black Sunshine (named by my 6 year old). The black and white is just chill while the orange is hyper active, he was the same in the LFS tank that's why my son chose him.
I matched the water temp and salinity. I added a sechem patch, Bio-spira, half a bottle of the 8. Something rated for 75 gallon, about an hour before the fish but oddly it registers in the .2 ppm. I didn't bring any of the LFS water into the tank so not to introduce the ammonia from travel.
Going to try feeding a small portion tonight to see how they take to it. Won't start meds for three days. I have prazipro and sechem copper (forgot the name) along with the test kit.
Thinking I might do a water change tomorrow if the ammonia doesn't come down.
