Below is the anemone I bought from Petco yesterday. It was advertised as a MD White Sebae Anemone. What do you guys think? Is this what it is?

I have read where they are not truly white.

I think it is just very bleached and given the proper water conditions it should come back to full health! Keep us updated!

Thank you. I bought it Sunday and it died Tuesday. This was a lesson well learned for me. I knew nothing about bleached out anemones.

No such thing as a white anemone, there is such thing as a bad petco though, it's every petco, and this here is why. They know nothing about what they sell. Also, is that even a sebae?

Besides being bleached, it didn't look all that bad. From the one picture, I believe that it is an M. doreensis (( LTA )), as opposed to an H. crisp or H. malu (( both use the common name "sebae" )).

What size tank?
What lights do you have?
How long has it been set up?
What are your current water parameters --- with numbers pleases.

Just trying to figure out what happened to it.

BTW, they can recover from that state,
