New aquarium decision time. Help me decide.

Not myself but you'll find plenty of their large euro braced tanks failed on here and YouTube. Silicone type and curing time is their issue. No amount of bracing will help their tanks imo

This is why my friends large tank was destroyed. It was the seal that failed.

My little reefer 170 G1 had a verticle seam fail in upper right corner. My G2 reefer 300 is currently failing at two seams. It's a silicone problem not a design issue.

i’m in the market for a new aquarium. Ive had my 72x18x30 glass with 2 plastic overflows for 21 years. I have it aquascaped in the pile of rocks against the back glass style because the 18’’ dimension still has corals pushed up against the front glass. this was my first aquarium and ive learned a lot. It’s pretty scratched up because I did’nt know any better. I am trying to decide between the Waterbox infinia peninsula 72.3 x25.3 x 23.6 $5,549 or Red Sea reefer s-950 g3 peninsula 78.7 x 26.8 x 25.6 at $7,799 or innovative marine ext or int 200 peninsula 70.9 x 30 x 21.7 at $3,942.

I’m a sucker for wider tanks so I vote for the IM. Nice tanks. Don’t get the Red Sea. They have a lot of recent problems with tank failures.

I think my favorite is their 150, love the depth it gives.

I thought Tsunami was acrylic only but may be mistaken. Worth calling and I think I had seen some positive reviews.

Yes if i went with Tsunami it would be my first foray into acrylic.

I don't have any experience with acrylic. I believe I heard that there is no yellowing with the new acrylic. And maybe you can buff out scratches easier. That would be nice. I would give them a call. Might be able to cut a deal if you pick it up even. Worth looking into.

When I get going I'm going through Glass Cages. The customer service is great and so is the quality. You'll pay more but IMO it's worth it. And most of their sales are of the custom variety. Check out the website on the computer. Phones are OK, but the computer interface is superior.

I did a build on glasscages website and was well over $12,000. So for me that was too much. Im concerned that the Waterbox is a rimless tank vs the other two are eurobraced?

I wanted to offer some assistance is possible. Sometimes using the builder with certain dimension combinations can unintentionally drive the price up. This sometimes happens when trying to compare builds with the same dimensions as off shore mass produced tanks.

I checked the base tank prices on:
$1,653 72 x 24 x 25 Tall Glass Euro Braced
$1,879 72 x 30 x 25 Tall Glass Euro Braced

Not sure what options were selected. will take a lot of options to get these builds up to 12K and would be so different and at an elite level when comparing to the systems you are sharing. Just want to offerer any assistance during your educational time of evaluation. My only goal would be to help you find the right fit even if it's with a different builder.

I just setup a 180g (60" x 30" x 24" with external OF) six months ago. (My second acrylic tank.).

Are they the acrylic version of Reef Savvy (absolute perfect artistry)? No.

Are they the acrylic version of Waterbox, IM, etc. (an all-round good tank)? Yes.

IMO, they are a very good tank for the price.

I have R150 and it has 45 degrees edges, so maximum connecting surface, safe for scrapers and looks amazing, intake top and bottom.

Eshopps tanks are overbuilt and the 180 has internal bottom bracing and it is eurobraced. Also has an aluminum framed stand. Peace of mind. Customer service is very good as well.

How is cleaning the panes on your 180? Im little worried that the eurobraced openings are so small that it would be difficult to clean the panes.
