I recently got this Aussie gold torch a few days ago online. It has opened but the tentacles are not extending and I am not sure why. My phosphate is dropping a bit because of rowaphos (.03 a day right now) but all my other torches and goni are thriving. If anyone has any thoughts then that would be great. Except for my higher phosphates .2 that I am lowering right now, the rest of the parameters are pretty normal. I moved it two days ago to a lower flow place and it still hasn’t gotten any better. It looks healthy though except for its not extending. When I was dipping the coral, it had this crack in the base that was pretty deep and had this brown mark inside the crack. It is not squishy and I think it is just healing tissue or something like that. It is not brown jelly disease off of what I’ve seen.

How long exactly have you had it? What PAR is it in? Aussie Gold torches are one of the most finicky I’ve ever come across. They aren’t going to extend out as far as an Indo torch so keep that in mind. Any actual pictures? The video you tried to post did not load correctly. Phosphate that high is not going to help things by any means I know I personally see my Euphyllia start to react poorly anytime my phosphate climbs above 0.10.
